Position Overview & Specifications

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Creative Marketing Manager to join our team based in our Head Office, in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £45-46.8k per annum.

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.

As the Creative Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will work with the creative team to create, plan and deliver a strategic vision for clients. You will build a world class team of internal and external creative resources to ensure that our creative is brilliantly executed, aligned with our brand guidelines and the needs of our clients, as well as bringing a mix of inspirational creativity and marketing expertise to take Human Appeal’s campaigns and project output to the next level, with a focus on gaining market share and defending our current positon in an increasingly competitive marketplace. We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Creative Marketing Manager:

  • Ensuring client briefs are fulfilled on time and to budget.
  • Ensuring the Asana PM tool is updated on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring emergency campaigns are executed within an 8 hour window once the emergency protocol is enacted within a country we work in, and 72 hours when outside of operation.
  • Ensuring regular creative and design trends are monitored on a weekly basis and reported back to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Nurture creativity and innovation
  • Building brand awareness and equity
  • Improving the quality and efficiency of the creative output

What we’re looking for in our Creative Marketing Manager:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Art, Design / Creative / Graphic Design, Marketing, Production and Brand Management, or relevant experience
  • Essential: 5+ years of related experience, e.g. film, photography, design, marketing, etc.
  • Essential: 3+ years of creative direction in agency or corporate setting.
  • Relevant experience in a marketing, branding or graphic design-related job.
  • Experienced networker and relationship builder.
  • Experience using project management tools, e.g. Asana
  • Demonstrated experience of leading and managing teams to provide creative direction and coaching.
  • Understanding and past experience creating integrated campaigns across all marketing channels from digital, social media, offline and print.
  • Broad experience and understanding of the convergence between on and offline marketing and creative design.
  • Strong understanding of effective Creative Design practices, trends, techniques, and processes across various touchpoints or mediums (e.g. packaging, in-store, online, mobile, print, direct)
  • A passion for charity and humanitarian work.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe & Internet applications
  • Advanced MAC programme skills
  • English essential. Knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic/Urdu/Bengali/Gujarati/ Hindi/Punjabi an advantage.
