Bernard Matthews is recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to join our manufacturing site in Sunderland.

About the Role:

Reporting into the Site General Manager the Engineering Manager responsible for a team of eight engineering specialists. The role will be tasked with planning, coordinating, and controlling all Engineering activities on site.

Engineering Manager will be responsible for the completion of departmental KPI's and organising and managing appraisals for engineers, offering the chance to make a real and immediate impact to an established team and business.

The role will also be responsible for managing the financial budgeting and controls for the site as well as supporting with compliance to industry and customer regulations.

This role will play a crucial part in the future development of the site, influencing the development of the Engineering team and support with key improvements to the site. As Engineering Manager, you will help manage teams and can get hands on and support with work where needed.

About You:

To excel in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience in leading successful Engineering teams in a Food Manufacturing environment. You will possess strong communication and leadership skills as well as confidence in supporting both mechanical and electrical issues.

A background in H&S and Food related safety issues would be useful in this role as well as a demonstrable background in planning Engineering initiatives such as PPM and site shutdowns.
