Here at Hollymount we have an exciting opportunity for someone who is caring and dedicated to come join our team and be part of our little family. If this is what you are looking for, we are the home for you! We have two positions available during the day, as a carer to our amazing residents and you will be working alongside all of us from 8am to 8pm.

Pay?

As part of the real living wage foundation charity, for this position is rate of pay is £10.90 per hour.

Contracted Hours

We are offering contracted hours of 30 to 48 hours, dependent on your own preference.

The role?

If you don't know the ins and outs of the role, not to worry, let's walk through a typical day.

Once you arrive at the home, you will be asked to sign in and to collect your digital care plan device for the day. There will be a morning handover, where our team on nights will let you know how everyone has been through the night and the managers on the day will let you know if anything is scheduled for that day. After that, it is time to get busy and you may start by helping people up from bed, to freshen up and to put on a nice outfit for the day.

After helping everyone with their breakfast, they may want to watch a bit of morning TV, read a magazine with a warm drink, or take part in the planned activities or events on the day. But every day is different, and we are all here to make sure everyone is cared for and to make a difference.

You will help anyone who may require assistance to use the facilities and to fulfil their daily living.

Throughout the day you will also have the opportunity to take allocated short breaks and a break for lunch too.

By late afternoon and in to the evening, some of our residents may wish to go to bed, have an evening bath or to get ready for bed. After a busy day, this is always a good time to reflect and give company to those that you have helped and cared for.
