Trade Counter Sales Assistant

Trade Counter Sales Assistant required.

We are an independent Plumbing & Heating Merchants based in Hazel Grove, Stockport who offer a wide range of Plumbing/Heating materials along with also having our own Bathroom and Tile Showroom next door.

Being a family run business we offer a friendly working environment and are now looking for a Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join the team. A knowledge of plumbing goods and bathrooms is essential for the roll.

Trade Counter Sales Assistant duties will include:

• Building relationships with customers through excellent customer service, understanding requirements and ensuring that the correct products are quoted and sold.
• Working with both Trade customers and the General Public it is important you have a good attitude and can converse professionally.
• Being precise with the paperwork trail from quoting to supply, and the checking of goods manual orders and invoices.
• Resolving after sales issues that may arise in an appropriate and efficient manner. When required organising supplier returns and processing the return on our system and following up with the supplier if necessary.
• Assist with Goods in & Out, checking deliveries, collating orders if required.
• Keeping the trade counter/showroom tidy and re-stocked at all times.
• Be involved with stock checks.
• Keeping up to date with product knowledge for stock portfolios and aligned ranges.
• Candidate must be confident, committed, and motivated. Happy to work with the team to meet department sales targets.
• Performing any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required
• Please note this role does require occasional heavy lifting.

Requirements

It is essential to have experience behind a trade counter at a plumbing merchants: 2 years

Mon-Fri 8am – 5.00pm
Sat 8am - 1pm with one a month off.
