Tearoom Cook / Kitchen Assistant

Harleys Smokehouse and Madhatters Café are family-run, dynamic restaurants. We are based in Kinver, which is easily commutable from Stourbridge, Kidderminster, and Wolverhampton.

At Madhatters Cafe, we encourage staff to be passionate, creative, and resourceful. You will be working alongside an experienced cafe team

Tips

Responsibilities

To prepare and cook dishes from our cafe menu, including full English breakfast, muffins, pancakes to paninis, salads and jacket potatoes
To undertake any catering task as directed by the Manager
To complete any administration as requested including food temperatures, wastage, and cleaning schedules
Must follow EHO guidlines to 5 star standard
To ensure minimal wastage, implementing ideas for reducing waste wherever possible
Assist in the effective management of stock and portion control
Ensure all equipment is in a safe working order
To ensure that the kitchen is maintained in a clean, organised manner and that all food safety and health and safety policies/procedures are followed
To communicate to the team and clients in a polite manner
To listen and forward any customer suggestions or complaints to the Line Manager
To undertake washing up and cleaning as required

Experience

Applicants must have proven experience for this role.
