Kitchen Assistant / Commis : NO EVENINGS

Grounds Café bespoke production kitchen is looking to take on enthusiastic and hardworking people to join its food production team.

You will work in a small team of kitchen staff and the role will mainly involve the preparation and manufacture of traybake cakes, ice creams, soups etc for distribution to our group of 10 locations. We only produce for our internal requirements and so there is variety and changing priorities from week to week depending on the season and the Café demands.

You will probably learn lots of new skills you are unlikely to gain from restaurant style kitchens, from how to make our speciality gelato's to the production of our homemade traybakes, soups and winter stews.

There is no dealing with the public, so none of the extra stress or pressure that can come when interacting with customers direct and although it can be a busy environment you will find the team calm and relaxed. All in all it has a very different 'kitchen' feel to that of a bar or restaurant.

We think its as good as it gets!

There are NO EVENING SHIFTS.

You will be required to work 5 days from 7 which will generally be Mon to Fri.

Our team do start early start but the upside of this is that it also means an early finish and as stated above...NO EVENINGS.

Experience is not necessary as you will be given full training as you to learn the ropes, develop and grow within the team, all we ask is that you are hardworking and keen to learn and have the drive to do your very best all of the time.

We can offer excellent rates of pay depending on the skill level of the applicant
