Finishing Assistant

Rate of Pay: - Starting at an hourly rate of £10.75, increasing to £11.25 upon successful completion of a 12 week probation period.

Working pattern: -

· Three 12 hour shifts per week - This includes days and nights, starting at 6am and 6pm, 6pm to 6am (continental).

. 36 contractual hours per week.

· Some overtime is available.

Employee wellbeing is important to us. As such, we offer an 8 day rest period after every 4th week on shift.

We are recruiting for proactive & positive Finishing/Production Assistants to join our International team at the Gateshead site, situated in Team Valley.

The Role: - Within our carton production area, working as part of a team, the main responsibilities of the role are (but not unlimited to)...

Responsibilities: -

· Supporting the machine operatives in achieving departmental KPI's (machine productivity and efficiency, waste, quality, customer service levels and Health & Safety)

· Meet and maintain quality & output levels

· Compliance to the company quality standards (BRC-IoP/ISO), H&S and Environmental standards

· The accurate and efficient control and completion of quality documents, filing and good housekeeping practices

· Follow standard operating procedures

· Support in any other reasonable duties as requested

Essential skills: - We require individuals with an excellent standard of English both in oral and written areas. Pre-employment assessments (Health & Safety) will be required to assess your suitability for the role.
