Computer Assembly Technician

Role Purpose and Duties:

• Assembly and testing of Computer Systems
• Installation and testing of Software Operating Systems
• Accepting deliveries, check-in and organising goods in stock
• Keeping a tidy and safe work area
• Some soldering and hot works and use of power tools
• Answering the phone and taking message (where required)
• Quality Control of own production work
• Packaging of products for shipment

Personal Specification:

Essential;

• Minimum Grade C in GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths
• IT literacy
• Interest in Computers
• Mechanical dexterity
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Attention to detail
• Autonomy and independence in working
• Aspiration to want to learn and develop
• A “can do” attitude
• Right to work in the UK

Preferable;

• Past experience in production or assembly environment, particularly electronic assembly

G2 Digital Video Ltd started trading in August 2003 as an IT support company. Since 2005 we have expanded into computer assembly and we now design/manufacture custom built 1U -4U Rack Mounted, Mini and Rugged computers. We sell into a lot of business to business verticals with Audio Visual, CCTV and rack room accessories being our larger markets. We also specialise in Windows Embedded software development. This hugely configurable version of Microsoft Windows OS enables creation of very basic but at the same time fast, reliable and versatile computer systems. We are a fun, dynamic, hard working team who are passionate about what we do.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £19,500.00-£23,000.00 per year
