Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking for a candidate who is well organised with a strong attention to detail.
The ideal candidate should come from a Manufacturing background, be proactive with strong organisational and administration skills.
Principle Accountabilities
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you would:
- Purchase order placing, you will follow up on any queries to do with these orders and chase them to find out when they will be delivered
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders not delivered by requested date
- Liaising with Goods-in and Suppliers to ensure a well organised Booking In system
- Working closely with the Warehouse to ensure accurate stock levels
- Updating Sales and production teams with stock shortfalls and providing expected delivery dates
- Ensure that all supplier details and product information, including costs and reorder levels, are current and accurate.
- Resolve any stock discrepancies with suppliers and assist with the resolution of any supplier invoice queries
- Creating and enhancing effective supplier relationships
- Play a key role in sourcing and recommending new suppliers
- Negotiate best prices on products
- Administration duties
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has purchasing/supply chain related experience, as well as an understanding of re-ordering/purchase planning - however other relevant experience and positions will be considered
- Is structured in their approach, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- IT literate - MS Office/Excel - training to be given for in house systems
- Knowledge of Excel V looks up essential
- Excellent communication - verbal and written English
- Keen eye for detail
- Highly organised - able to keep track of a multitude of Tasks
- Excellent supplier relationship management - conducting regular reviews
- Able to work alongside multiple departments effectively
- Strong negotiation skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
