Fun, energetic, enthusiastic people wanted!!!

Funtopia, the Children’s Festival which aimed at under 10’s is going on our annual summer tour of the Midlands again in April and we are looking for enthusiastic, hard working Event Staff!

We have positions available in:

Catering
Event Staff
Kids Entertainers
Supervisors

This year our summer Tour runs from 8thApril-31st August with events every weekend plus weekdays during school holidays. Tour locations include Cheshire, Northants, Lincs, Leics, Notts, Derbys, Oxfordshire and more.

The Team leaves from and returns to Holmewood, Chesterfield daily and applicants are not required to make their own way to site, but instead travel in the company minibus.

Funtopia is filled with inflatables, activity and role play zones, entertainment stage, food court, under 5’s area, etc and is open 10:30am-5:30pm daily. (Set up from 6:30am and pack down is complete at approx. 7:30pm). An autism Friendly Session takes place every morning so any experience of working with children who have additional needs or autism is an advantage but not essential.

More details about the job roles:

CATERING:

Required to work in our Food Court on either the catering van or the donut stand. Previous experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

EVENT STAFF:

Supervising various inflatables and activity areas. Will need to work independently during the event opening hours. You must be confident and engage with the public.

KIDS ENTERTAINERS:

Performing our daily scheduled stage shows which include dancing and story telling. Entertainers will also be carrying out scheduled group activities within the Arena. Activities include water fights and mascot performances. You must be confident and outgoing. The right candidate will be charismatic and confident.

SUPERVISORS:

We are looking to hire an entertainment supervisor, event site supervisor and a catering supervisor. Applicants should have previous experience in their chosen field, although not necessarily supervisor experience. The catering supervisor will be required to have or take a Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification.

All staff will be required to work on the event set up and pack down which includes setting up the activity zones, gazeboes, perimeter fencing, inflatables, catering area, etc.

Bad Points:

Funtopia leaves Holmewood between 4:15am-6am and returns between 8pm-9:30pm but long days mean a good days pay!
