An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the Streetscene and Transportation Portfolio as a Waste Strategy Manager to play a key role in shaping the long term strategic direction for the waste and recycling service within the County.
As part of the Regulatory Services team you will be responsible for leading a small team of officers to monitor the compliance and regulation of the Councils waste and recycling services, developing and implementing local and national policy with the aim of achieving statutory recycling targets and delivery on circular economy initiatives, as well as ensuring effective procurement and contact management of all waste disposal contracts.
You will be responsible for leading strategic projects, including business case development and impact assessments, and will be integral in developing and delivering behavioural change campaigns and encouraging customer participation in repair, reuse and recycling practices.
