First Movement Music Academy located in the heart of Silicon Valley, offering an extensive range of music lessons to students of all ages. Since 2010, our academy has been dedicated to providing families with top-quality music classes that combine creativity and unique teaching methods. Our program is very comprehensive focusing on music fundamentals making it an excellent choice for beginners who want to explore music in a fun and immersive way, without the constraints of a formal curriculum.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a passionate, talented and committed individual who has at least bachelor degree of music with 1 + year of teaching experience to work on Tuesdays , Thursdays from 2:30- 8:30pm and Saturdays from 12am- 4pm.
This position is perfect for someone who loves creative ways to teach piano beginners.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have current legal status to work in the United States ( FMMA provides visa sponsorship opportunities for qualified candidates)
- Must Have at lease Bachelor's of Music degree (preference is given to those who've earned MM/MA and/or DM/PhD degrees)
- Live in the bay area with consistent and reliable transportation to arrive on time for lessons
- Experience teaching and performing
- Able to arrange easy accompaniment / chords while children play / sing
- Willing to teach group lessons with training provided
- Able to prepare students for exams and recital
Responsibilities:
- Teach students to play the violin and able to teach students to sing in Solfege.
- Build an individualized learning plan for each student, prepare for recital and exam every year.
- Give feedback to students on their progress.
- Positive attitude to create an environment where students can enjoy learning music
- Maintain good communication between school and parents
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
