Protect the company and its assets from theft, criminal damage other types of crime by conducting gatehouse duties at the site entrances as well as conducting physical security foot patrols across the site and reacting to both security and emergency incidents.

This is a fixed term security officer gatehouse role based at INEOS Seal Sands, with an expectancy to run until September 2023.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Conduct security gatehouse duties, controlling traffic and personnel entering and leaving site.
• Checking of passes, searching vehicles and some weighbridge operations.
• Conduct physical security patrols by foot.
• Secure buildings and other company assets across the site.
• Carry out crime prevention activities such as routine vehicle searches.
• Perform road safety duties.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Attend and investigate security intruder and access control alarm activations.

Role Requirements:

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Valid SIA license
• Required to pass a pre-employment health check
• Required to go through a go through vetting process via external third party company inc full comprehensive 5-year work/education history; including full company names, addresses and landline contact numbers
• Excellent communication and administration skills.
• Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
• Available to travel to multiple sites.
• High level of customer care.
• Security systems knowledge.
• Telephone/switchboard skills.
• First Aid training would be an advantage.
• IT literacy would be an advantage.

Further Details of the Role:

• Monday – Thursday Day Shifts (13 hours)
• Fixed Term contract until September 2023, with opportunity for relief contract following end of fixed term contract.
• Hourly rate of £10.86
• 6am – 7pm
