Graphic Design & Marketing Assistant

We are a prominent, family-run e-cigarette distributor/retailer based in Birmingham, looking for a talented Graphic Design & Marketing Assistant to help us create a fluid brand experience across multiple platforms while developing our customer base organically. To achieve this, we need someone who has a passion for all types of content creation, has an enthusiastic work ethic with a desire for problem-solving and can support our Marketing Manager with strong design and copy skills.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Design for web and print including display and email banners, POS for stores, infographics and much more.
• Creation and scheduling of effective social media content across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
• Profile maintenance and daily interaction across all social media accounts and related communities to boost brand awareness and nurture customer relationships.
• Shooting, editing and maintenance of all website product photography.
• Creation of marketing emails to specification set by manager.
• Assist with planning and preparation of industry related blogs & guides.
• Stay up-to-date with trends and industry news.

Skills required for the role:

• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is essential with some Illustrator/After Effects experience preferred.
• Confidence in design skills with an excellent understanding of layout, hierarchy and user experience.
• Motivated with a strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude, as well as the ability to work well as part of a team and individually.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work well in fast paced, high pressure situations while adhering to strict deadlines and remaining organised.
• Portfolio of work is essential upon application.

This role is office-based and full-time. Due to the nature of certain tasks, remote working will not be possible.

Graduates who have completed a degree in design, marketing or related may apply, although it is not essential.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hrs a week
