REFUSE COLLECTOR/ LOADER (2 positions)

GRADE C - £ 21,575 to £22,369

HOURS PER WEEK - 37

An opportunity has arisen for two Refuse Collector/Loaders within Waste and Recycling Services which is part of the Environmental and Community Services Directorate.

The main duties will involve:

Collecting residual, recycling and garden waste contained in wheeled bins and waste for recycling contained in the Councils green recycling bags
Delivering or collecting wheeled bins
Collecting clinical waste
Collecting bulky items and white goods.

You will have experience of working within a refuse and recycling collection service and must be able to operate effectively as part of a team. You will be expected to follow instructions, provide a high quality service and display a courteous attitude towards members of the public at all times.

This is a physically demanding role in which you will be required to walk long distances in all weather conditions. You should therefore possess a reasonable level of fitness.

These posts are 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday inclusive.
