Elevation Accountancy & Finance are very excited to be recruiting for an ambitious, intelligent, and highly enthusiastic Assistant Finance Analyst on behalf of a leading manufacturing business based in Barnsley.

A rare opportunity to gain valuable experience of the review, control and management of the P&L and Balance Sheet of a large manufacturing organisation. The role offers core experience for any prospective Accountant, which is essential for completion of professional records of practical experience. The experience is certain to be front and centre of your CV for years to come.

Overview and summary of role:

Responsible for review and analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet
Interpretation of financial statements to identify and report key drivers of performance to senior managers
Assist with the production of Rolling Forecasts and annual Budget covering both the P&L and Balance Sheet
Production, analysis & interpretation of periodic KPI reports
Assist with Business Partner requests and production of reports
Opportunity to develop the role to assist the Financial Systems Analyst with the automation of data analytics and application of data visualisation tools
Involvement in Kaizen projects and initiatives
Ad hoc support across internal teams

Skill and attributes required:

Undergraduate degree at 2:1/ 1st or equivalent, preferably in a relevant subject (Accounting/Finance/Business)
Previous business or placement experience desirable
Desire for a long-term career in Finance
Strong analytical skills which allow the individual to quickly focus in on issues and apply proactive commercial thinking
Strong MS Excel skills
Team player who will support colleagues but be able to work on own initiative towards collective goals
