Position Summary
We have a fantastic, newly created opportunity for a Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to support and implement the group Learning and Development strategy, enabling delivery of strategic priorities and further development of Edrington’s Learning culture.

The appointee will be responsible for overseeing identification of learning needs across the business, working with our global Learning Leads and HR partners to understand our short and long-term capability and skills needs. Working in partnership with the Head of Talent and Learning, this role will be responsible for driving and implementing the leadership development agenda, supporting the development of high performing teams and great performance conversations as well as our overarching global skills agenda. The role will also ensure evaluation and impact measurement of learning interventions to demonstrate strategic value and return on investment.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Talent & Learning, key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a robust yet agile learning needs process is in place to identify what critical skills and capabilities are required to deliver our strategic priorities, development of Edrington’s learning culture and demonstrate development commitment to our employees.
  • Engage, influence and work collaboratively with our global Learning leads, HR teams and global regions/functions to ensure best practice and programmes are being shared, partnerships developed, and effective ways of working are implemented to drive the best return on investment for the business.
  • Working with the Head of T&L, to lead and implement the leadership development, high performing teams, performance management and global skills agenda, supporting on development and delivery of key learning initiatives.
  • Undertake effective research, framing and scoping activities and identify the right learning solutions and programmes to build strong capabilities and skills within teams.
  • Work closely with the L&D Advisor to build blended learning programmes and support engagement with the Edrington Academy.
  • Identify and develop strong partners to support in the development and delivery of learning interventions, managing relationships, performance, and budgets closely.
  • Lead the delivery of our Annual ‘Learning at Work’ Festival, managing the project team and overseeing this quality learning initiative and experience for employees.
  • Keep up to date and research new L&D technologies and trends, showcasing any that will deliver more effective ways of working or efficiencies for the business.
Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will be a passionate and experienced L&D professional, educated to degree level and/or equivalent level of Learning/OD experience, with previous experience developing and implementing a global learning agenda, working with a broad range of stakeholder groups. You will have excellent knowledge of effective learning and development methods, technologies, and skills development, coupled with the curiosity to seek out best practise and future trends. Deep technical knowledge of leadership development, high performing teams, performance management and global skills development is essential. Experience of E-Learning design and use of E-Learning packages such as Articulate is advantageous.
