IT Trainee/Apprentice

Based at our head office and production facility in Ripon, we have an exciting new opportunity for an ICT trainee or apprenticeship, perfect for someone who wants to start out their career in IT.

The IT trainee/ apprentice role will be to assist the IT Manager in the day to day support and management of all ICT systems whilst spending time gaining a wider knowledge of our company systems and processes.

Our ideal candidate will have a good level of computer competence, excellent communication skills and be self-motivated. You will be given full training and become familiar with a wide range of hardware and software systems.

Good rate of pay and bonus paid on successful completion of projects.

Working with the IT Manager your role will include but not be limited to:

· Providing 1st line support to staff in person and remotely, escalating where necessary

· Setting up new PCs and laptops

· Faulty device maintenance and replacement

· Carry out routine preventative maintenance and checks

· Maintain asset registers for all IT devices

· Assist the Marketing Dept. with website content updates

· Familiarise yourself with a range of company software packages and processes

Required skills:

· An IT based qualification would be beneficial but not essential

· Good level of general IT hardware and software understanding

· Familiarity with Windows 10 operating system and Office suite

· Familiarity with the use of android and ios operating systems

· Driver’s license desirable or a willingness to obtain, as occasional travel to our service depot in Thirsk will be required

Working Hours:

8am-5pm Monday to Thursday

8am-4pm Friday
