Shop Assistant

Ecco is a registered environmental charity and we are currently looking for a Shop Assistant to join our store on the High Street in Bishop’s Stortford.

This is a part-time role working 24 hours over 3 days out of 7. (Includes weekends) - Shifts are 9am to 5pm - Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Our Shop Assistants work alongside the management team to drive shop performance. In this role you will be involved in all aspects of a customer focused role such as ensuring a high level of customer service and striving to achieve maximum sales.

Assisting in all operational procedures such as sorting donations, organising collections and deliveries, stock rotation, merchandising, pricing and housekeeping.

You will be responsible for the store when there isn’t a manager on duty, and this will involve lone working. Therefore applicants must be 18+ years old.

We are looking for candidates that are:

• Reliable, hard working and flexible
• Have the desire to strive for the best customer service
• An interest in helping the environment and the local community.
• Previous retail experience is ideal but not essential.
• Able to travel to cover our stores located in Harlow and Epping when necessary.
• Have a good level of spoken and written English.

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and proof of right to work in the UK.
