Retail Sales Assistant

We are looking to recruit a Sales Assistant to join our existing team in our family run business in our Clough Road store. Our company retails various floor coverings along with beds, and some furniture, from our three showrooms in Hull and Beverley. We also have 2 Trade Warehouses which holds most of our stock items. No experience is necessary, as full training will be given, but experience with working with measurements would be an advantage.

About the Role:

Working within a small and friendly team. We are looking for Sales Assistants who will proactively approach every customer and deliver a true customer experience. Responsibilities include:

· Providing excellent customer service and product knowledge to our customers.

· Efficient dealing with inputting of invoices and maintaining stock levels.

· Use of the till, including cash handling.

· Supporting the Store Manager with promotions and offers.

· Assisting in areas of security, delivery and housekeeping.

· Wage meets current National Minimum wage starting at £21,000 per annum paid weekly.

. Hours Between 9am - 6pm.

About the Candidate:

You must be honest, reliable and hard working. Be friendly and confident in dealing with the general public. Physically fit as you will be on your feet most of the day and some lifting is involved. A fast learner. Willing to work weekends (you will work 5 days out of 7).

Qualifications Required:

G.C.S.E or equivalent in Maths and English.

You may be required to travel to either of our five stores to cover absence and holidays at short notice.
