Bespoke by nature, every day is different, so you’ll remain interested, challenged, and engaged in the job. Due to our current workload, and significant future order pipeline, we need quality people to join our already highly skilled team.

Your role will involve utilising Draftsight and Solidworks to update/create working fabrication drawings, working with the sales production team assist with technical issues, and to work closely with the development team to find the best solutions for changing development requirements.

Overview of the position:

• Use 2D and 3D CAD modelling software to produce drawings of manufactured components.
• Breaking down customer drawings into fabrication drawings.
• Prepare BOM (bills of materials) documentation for manufacturing and assemblies.
• Drawing technical assembly drawings.
• Liaise both internally and with customers externally to achieve bespoke solutions.
• Producing laser cut profiles and liaising with suppliers for production.
• Research and development of new products to add to our range.
• Visiting customer site to liaise on design elements as required.

Key requirements and experience.

• Must have good working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD 2D/ Draft sight or similar as a minimum.
• Solid works experience would be desirable.
• Ability to read & produce technical drawings.
• Familiar with bespoke metalwork & steel fabrications.
• Experience in the design of Plant equipment would be a distinct advantage.
• Comfortable liaising with other internal departments, customers, and suppliers alike
• Relevant experience gained via a time served shop floor background would be an advantage.
• Must be adaptable, able to work on own initiative and multitask.
• Conversant with MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Ability to prioritise tasks.
• Commercially aware.
• Clean driving license is preferred.

This role is based in our UK Nottingham office and any offer is subject to satisfactory employment checks (including acceptable proof of entitlement to work in the UK.)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
