Position Overview & Specifications

Job description

We are looking for an IT Technician Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in IT hardware and software.

Annual wage - £11700

Working week – Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours

Holiday – 20 days plus bank holidays

Duration 15-18 months

Possible start date – April 2023

Apprenticeship Level – Level 3

The IT Technician Apprentice will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees and clients. This includes troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring systems, and providing technical advice. The successful candidate will also be involved in maintaining our IT systems and ensuring they are running smoothly.

To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of IT systems and networks, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

On completion of the 18 month apprenticeship you will receive a Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT Solutions Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees and customers via phone, video, email, and in-person often using remote desktop solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Provide advice and guidance on the use of our systems
  • Install and configure hardware and software
  • Monitor system performance and security
  • Maintain and update documentation
  • Assist with the development of new IT solutions

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of IT systems and networks
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
  • A passion for technology
  • GCSE A-C / 9-4
