Position Overview & Specifications

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Controller to join our Stoke 2 Distribution Centre. You will be joining the team on a standard shift basis of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10, Monday to Friday.

Our logistics centre has the capacity to store 55,000 pallets and you’ll find over 4000 different kinds of products being handled as units, cartons, bags and oversized goods.

As we continue to grow as a business, this totally team-focused department is busier and lively than ever and even more committed to training its colleague and fostering a rewarding working environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Coordinating point for engineering, MHE, Site Services and Operations
Supports work prioritization to maximize effectiveness and to complement the efforts of other work groups
On job safety requirements to ensure that colleagues understand the work objectives, safety, health, environmental and security concerns
Hourly and Day to day planning of MHE assets and shunter assets
Ensure flow throughout the building in order to meet and exceed targets, including control of loading docks, inbound and outbound
Assess the daily situation of daily targets and advise to ensure maximum capability of individual areas within the Distribution Centre
Raise any potential issues which may affect delivery times
Delivering a high standard of service within our Distribution Centre procedures
