Camera Operative / Videographer

DTD Live is the media operation of the largest poker room in the UK, Dusk Till Dawn.

Job Overview: The camera operator / videographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality video footage of live poker games for a new streaming platform. The ideal candidate should have experience in operating cameras and an understanding of the game of poker.

Responsibilities:

• Operate camera equipment to capture footage of live poker games
• Follow the direction of the director to ensure proper framing, focus, and exposure
• Monitor camera feeds to ensure that all shots are of the highest quality
• Coordinate with other camera operators to capture multiple angles of the game
• Set up camera equipment, including tripods, cameras, cables, and lighting
• Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of camera equipment
• Assist in the setup and striking of the production equipment

Requirements:

• Experience in camera operation and video production
• Understanding of poker game and rules is desirable
• Familiarity with camera equipment and software
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings / nights
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Experience of moving and setting up camera equipment

Additional:

• Familiarity with live streaming platforms is a plus
• Understanding of poker game and rules is desirable

Salary will be competitive and based on experience. The position will require working some weekends and evenings / nights. Applicants should submit their CV alongside a showreel of their previous experience to be considered for the position.

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Salary: £9.18-£13.00 per hour

• Video editing: 1 year (preferred)
