NLGV van drivers, Bridgwater. £10.00 per hour PAYE

Driver Hire Taunton & Bridgwater are looking to recruit a team of van drivers to support our client during Spring, Summer to cover their holiday and peak trading period. Our client is a leading supplier of non food catering items, cleaning materials to the hospitality trade and care homes, covering the South West & South Wales.

Full induction provided by our client.

Key duties:

• To deliver items to destinations as per the daily delivery notes on a set route. On average 20 deliveries per route.


• Driver the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in line with the Highway code


• Report any shortfall or failed deliveries to the depot


• Carryout daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects to the duty manager


• Complete all daily delivery notes, as per procedures

Hours of work & Wages:

• Start times are from 06.00 hrs, Monday to Friday


• Hourly rates from £10.00 per hour


• Holiday pay accrued from your first shift


• All wages paid via PAYE with online payslips


• Pension contributions paid after qualifying period

As a NLGV Van driver you will have:

• A valid UK Cat B licence, with no more than 6 penalty points for minor offences (speeding)


• Ideally with some multi drop experience although not essential as training is provided


• Good communication & admin skills


• Able to start from 06.00 hrs each day
