Residential Childcare Support Worker

Salary from £25,812 to £26,328 per annum which includes sleep in shifts

Hourly pay £10.91 to £11.18

Base Location: Wakefield

Permanent Contracts - Full time or Part Time available

About Dove Adolescent Services

We are looking for Residential Child Care Workers to join our growing team. The underpinning ethos within our homes is support young people, enabling them to achieve their full potential in all areas of their lives.

We are proud of the quality of our homes, 100% of our inspected services are rated by Ofsted as good or outstanding.

Requirements

  • To promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of our young people
  • Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with our young people
  • Encourage the development of individual interests of our young people
  • A desire to learn, we provide full training for to achieve a Childcare Diploma level 3
  • Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable is desired but not essential
  • Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level

What do we ask of you?

  • Understanding and commitment to the role - including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Undertake sleep-in duties as part of a flexible rota.
  • Participating in activities and ensuring we provide young people with a place they feel at home
  • Be capable of working on your own initiative
  • Have good inter-personal skills and be a positive team player
  • A desire to engage, motivate and encourage the young people in our homes

Salary is dependent on experience and qualification and does includes sleep in shifts .
