Job Title: Chef - Vietnamese Restaurant Doux Chaton Vietnamese Kitchen
Location: 89 Renshaw Street, Liverpool, L1 2SP
Job Type: Full-time or Part Time
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team at a Vietnamese restaurant. The ideal candidate must have a passion for cooking and an in-depth knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine. Additionally, the candidate must be able to speak either Cantonese or Vietnamese fluently.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute a diverse and delicious menu of Vietnamese dishes
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
- Monitor food stock and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and storage areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Train and supervise other kitchen staff members
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and special dishes
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards all customers and team members
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef in a Vietnamese restaurant or a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to speak either Cantonese or Vietnamese fluently
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and long hours when necessary
- Must have a valid food handler's certificate
