Position Overview & Specifications

Join us as an Oxygen Delivery Technician

Full-time position: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm - Plus on call duties

Due to the nature of the role, the position involves the post holder to be flexible as they will be on a rota for call outs after hours (including weekends/nights

Location: Glasgow

Start date: ASAP

Type of Role: 3 month Temporary Contract

Salary per annum: £21,000

Company vehicle, PDA, uniform and full training provided.

The role (in a nutshell)

To carryout deliveries, installations, removals, risk assessments & servicing of oxygen products for NHS patients, with care and consideration, keeping in mind the patients’ needs at all times. This role will require the successful candidate to be based in Glasgow with occasional travel to other sites.

This is a very physically taxing job and will require the candidate to be able to load and unload vans daily and lift heavy equipment in and out of patient homes.

Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility

  • Install, deliver, remove and service Oxygen Products for Dolby Vivisol on behalf of the NHS.
  • Ensure that all associated consumables are delivered in accordance with the patients prescription.
  • Work with local depot manager & field service Managers to achieve delivery of service.
  • Co-operation with the planning department
  • Ensure compliance with contractual KPI’s
  • Ensuring that patients receive a quality service at all times
  • Follow all safe working procedures & operating instructions
  • Follow all statutory compliance & governance procedures
  • Accurate data entry on to a mobile PDA device

Education, Qualifications and expertise required:

  • Relevant experience in a Medical Oxygen environment
  • Clean current valid driver’s licence
  • Will require an Enhanced DBS
