Claims Handler (Escape of Water) – Stoke/Hybrid

37.5 hours (5 days per week)

Rotating shifts between 8am-8pm (Monday-Friday) and 9am-1pm (Saturdays)

Late shifts 1 in every 5-9 weeks

Davies are looking to recruit an experienced Claims Handler who is looking for that next step within their career! This role comes with great exposure into the world of insurance including property adjusting.

You will be joining the Property Claims team in our Stoke-on-Trent office managing your own caseload of property insurance claims specific to escape of water.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  Communicating professionally with a variety of people including customers, insurers, suppliers and colleagues around the country
• 
  Adapting to a new style of working with video calls, scope building and direct contact with policy holders via "live chat"
• 
  Composing professional and informative letters and other written correspondence
• 
  Ensuring compliance with our contractual and regulatory requirements
• 
  Reviewing data to set up new claims, appointing contractors and updating claims on internal systems
• 
  Reviewing insurance policy wordings to establish if a claim is covered
• 
  Managing and reviewing diaries in a timely manner
• 
  Issuing payments to policyholders and suppliers for settlements
• 
  Contributing to a happy team working environment

Skills & Experience:

• 
  High-level of experience in Escape of Water Claims
• 
  A professional and adaptable communication style – both written and verbal
• 
  Efficient administrative skills
• 
  Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
• 
  A proactive attitude, and an enthusiastic approach
