Data Scientist

Due to the highly sensitive nature of this work, you will be required on site 5 days a week.

Our client runs an exceptional Data Science and Analytics practice where they help clients understand and improve their business performance using data-driven approaches.

They are a large management and engineering consultancy in the Defence and Security industry, so they work with clients such as the MOD or Government departments.

The ideal candidate would have a keen interest in applying Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to real-life scenarios!

• Actively participate in the design of bespoke, innovative, flexible and sector-specific data science projects.
• Collaborate with teams of Data Scientists and other technical consultants of various experience levels.
• Derive actionable outcomes from the outputs of data science projects.
• Contribute to decision-making that will lead to successful delivery of projects.

• Work experience as a Data Scientist or a role that requires exposure to data analysis and complex problem-solving using data.
• Experience in applying quantitative techniques for data mining/analysis and exposure to applications of ML/AI algorithms.
• Good programming skills for data transformation or modelling, preferably using Python, R or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Data storage and querying skills (relational and NoSQL databases).
• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
