Location: London NW10

Salary: £32,000 a year - Full-time, Permanent

Job Description

A Project Architect is required to join a small team of well-established development and construction company with their office based in West London.

We are looking for a creative and fully qualified Architect with a minimum 3 years experience, to provide inhouse support with plans and designs for various projects in London area.

The ideal candidate must have excellent English, and architecture university degree with a proven track record in design, producing architectural drawings, and be confident in liaising with structural engineers, surveyors, local councils and building management.

Must be up to date with latest Building Regulations and Approved Documents.

Be confident in sourcing materials and finishes for various projects, and working within a budget.

The position will be office based, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Salary based on experience.

Candidates competencies required:

  • A degree in Architecture – for example, a BA or BSc Architecture
  • A minimum of 3+ years experience in designs for new build construction projects, alterations and redevelopments.
  • Excellent design and drawing skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD)- Ideally previous experience with ArchiCAD and AutoCAD
  • Good all-round technical design expertise to British Regulations and Standards including Building Control requirements.
  • Ability to undertake a variety of designing projects from concept to completion;
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and effectively communicate with other professionals;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Ability and knowledge to confidently use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Have a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Your duties will include creating building designs and highly detailed drawings by using (CAD) applications such as ArchiCAD and AutoCad.
  • Liaise with independent Building control officers to maker sure designs are compliant.
  • Delivery of architectural design and technical documentation through all project stages
  • Works systematically to ensure completion of tasks to meet deadlines and clients expectations.
  • Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings, such as space Planning, Building Elevations, Building Plans, Electrical/Mechanical Layouts /Schematics, Fire Escape Plans, Building Location Site Plans
  • Working closely with a team of other professionals such as project managers, building service engineers, construction managers and estimators.
  • Viewing building sites, proposed locations and client meetings.
  • Accommodate safety procedures and issues in installation and construction drawings.
