Position Overview & Specifications

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Operative plays a vital role in ensuring that our warehouse runs smoothly and that customer orders are processed and shipped accurately and efficiently. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping goods, operating warehouse equipment, monitoring inventory levels, and participating in team meetings and training sessions. Your main duties will involve receiving and processing incoming deliveries, picking and packing customer orders, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, and operating warehouse equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and unload deliveries, verifying quantities and condition of goods, and checking for accuracy against purchase orders.

Pick customer orders quickly and accurately, using warehouse management software to ensure that all orders are complete and correct.

Pack customer orders carefully and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials and following company labeling guidelines.

Prepare shipments for shipment, double-checking all shipping documents and verifying that packages are properly labeled and marked.


Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, following established procedures for storage, cleaning, and organization.

Monitor inventory levels, reporting any discrepancies or low stock levels to management and participating in physical inventory counts as needed.

Accurately record all incoming and outgoing shipments, using warehouse management software to track inventory and shipping information.

Collaborate with other team members, providing support and assistance as needed and working together to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Seek out opportunities to improve warehouse processes and procedures, sharing ideas and suggestions with the team.

Troubleshoot and resolve warehouse-related issues quickly and effectively, using good judgment and strong problem-solving skills.

Bring a positive and productive attitude to work, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Stay informed of industry trends and best practices, seeking out new ideas and approaches to enhance warehouse operations.

Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations and quality control standards.

Continuously evaluate warehouse operations, seeking out areas for improvement and taking a proactive approach to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Meet and exceed performance targets, always striving to meet customer expectations and deliver exceptional results.

Participate in team training sessions and meetings, offering feedback and suggestions for improvement and contributing to the development of best practices.

Ensure that all equipment and machinery is maintained and repaired as needed, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
