Purpose of the role

As our Early Careers Recruitment Manager you will lead and manage a small team to deliver our Early Careers recruitment for all our trainees (school leavers and graduates), across all disciplines.

Reporting to the Head of People Development and working with the wider People team and key stakeholders you be responsible for leading on our approach to Early Careers recruitment, building on some positive recent changes, to develop a clear strategy, ensuring it is inclusive, able to deliver to our growing resource needs and allows us to attract the best Early Careers talent.

Responsibilities

· Day to day management of the Early Careers Recruitment team to deliver on the agreed strategy, including running attraction, assessment and selection and onboarding programmes focusing on engagement, inclusion and employee/candidate experience.

· Ongoing and effective stakeholder management, working with each of our office teams to establish resource requirements and ensuring they are involved and engaged in our Early Careers Recruitment activities, supporting where necessary on attraction activities.

· Research, develop and implement recruitment strategies and activities that support firmwide diversity and inclusion aims, working with the wider ED&I networks and leaders.

· Work with the People Communications and Marketing teams, and any relevant third parties, to devise and deliver effective and innovative attraction campaigns.

· Oversight and management of the budgets associated with Early Careers Recruitment, linking in with the core People Development Operations team.

· Manage relationship with third parties such as educational establishments, advertisers, outsourced service providers etc.

· Provide accurate and timely management information to leadership/stakeholders.

· Market knowledge and commercial awareness – keeping up to date on developments, changes and current thinking in relation to all aspects of Early Careers recruitment.

· Continue to review, on an ongoing basis, the effectiveness of our approach, working with the team/stakeholders to Identify areas of improvement and implement and communicate these appropriately.

Skills & Experience

· Early Careers/Graduate/Student recruitment experience is required, preferably within legal or professional services environment, with the ability to show up to date knowledge of the current recruitment market and trends in Early Careers recruitment.

· Strong communication skills and demonstrable skill in building effective relationships with senior stakeholders.

· Experience of managing and motivating a team.

· Excellent planning and organisational skills.

· Comfortable working with data and management information, with the ability to deliver effective and engaging presentations to the relevant client/business groups.

· Proven experience working with third parties

· Willingness to travel between the regional offices to meet with stakeholders as well as run and deliver assessment centres and interview days.
