Head of Food & Beverage – Hunters Quay

Hunters Quay Holiday Village, Dunoon is recruiting for a Head of Food & Beverage to oversee the delivery of an exceptional service for all guests who visit our Hunters Bar, Grill and Terrace, Hunters Quay Arena, Hunters Quay Loch and Play and Hunters Quay Papa Johns food and drink outlets.

Job Title: Head of Food & Beverage
Location: Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village, Lochgoilhead, Argyll, Scotland PA24 8AD
Employment Type: Full Time 45-hour contract
Salary: Competitive + Bonus opportunity
Shift Patterns: Mon – Fri / Weekends / Bank Holidays / Day & Evening shifts

About the role:

Having attention to detail and being able to prioritise tasks are some of the key qualities required as a Head of F&B, and we will expect you to lead by example.

To be successful as a Head of F&B you must have excellent people skills as well as experience in running a bar and restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities include:

General:

Ø Open and close procedures, including Health & Safety checks and securing buildings

Ø To take full accountability for the quality of food and service delivered in each F&B areas

Ø To take full accountability for Turnover & Gross Profit targets (setting & achieving)

Ø To actively manage all the team ensuring their personal development

Ø To oversee all the ordering for the areas ensuring the appropriate levels of stock is held and margins are achieved

Ø Adhere to exceptionally high standards of food safety & Health & Safety

Ø To lead and motivate all the team

Ø Ensuring exceptionally high standards of cleanliness

Ø Ensuring robust knowledge of all our products.

Stock:

Ø Delivery management and stock rotation procedures

Ø Ordering and stock control

Financial:

Ø To ensure efficient operation and cost control of all food and beverage areas in conjunction with the General Manager and company budgets

Ø To report on volume, revenue, and gross profit per F&B area as per requirement

Ø To produce cost effective rotas, prepared in a timely manner, matching business requirements including the management of agency team when required.

Ø Carry out stock takes, and verification checks as required.

Team Management:

Ø Managing and delivering team training

Ø Creating rotas and weekly schedules

Ø Leading and supporting the team / values champions

Ø Recruitment and new starter procedures

Ø Conducting performance reviews

Experience Required:

Ø Proven ability to motivate and lead a team and evidence of being a team player

Ø Previous experience in a similar role
