Dispatch Operative

Construction Metal Forming Ltd (CMF Ltd) is a specialist designers, manufacturers, innovators and installers of profiled MetFloor, metal decking, industrial building systems and associated cold-formed steel construction products.

We are currently recruiting a Dispatch/ Yard Operative for our Magor site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but supportive team and full training will be provided.

The successful recruit will be able to organise and maintain the dispatch areas and liaise with Shift Manager/ Lead Operatives to assist with organising the movement of deliveries and/or materials. You will also be involved with loading the finished items onto trailers for dispatch.

AM/PM shift pattern (5 days out of 7 days)

Duties will include:

• Unloading of steel stock and storing
• Movement of vehicles
• Booking in/out of vehicles and stock
• Organising the yard area
• Keeping the yard clean and tidy
• Banksman duties for delivery drivers attending / departing site
• Assist in other day to day labouring duties
• Ad hoc duties as instructed by your manager

Requirements:

• You will need to have 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing background, ideally a logistical background
• Excellent organisational and communication skills are required
• FLT license will be advantageous
• A driving license
• Must be fit and capable of lifting and carrying
