Position: Support Worker

Salary: £10.62 - £10.92 per hour

Service: Ophir Road, Bournemouth

About Your Role

  • Ophir Road, close to the popular coastal town of Bournemouth is a residential service for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those who express behaviours which others might find challenging.
  • Being close to Bournemouth town centre and the lovely sandy beach, individuals are supported in accessing leisure and social activities of their choice within the local community. Individuals enjoy swimming, cinema, music clubs, bowling and attending day centres.
  • You’ll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out.
  • You’ll develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shopping and domestic duties.
  • You’ll provide help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend or night shifts. Full time and part time positions are available.

  • You’ll then have an interview scheduled at the service and have your chance to go down and meet the team.
  • If you are successful we’ll go through an Onboarding Process obtaining a Free DBS Check and References.
  • You’ll then start with our 3-day online induction with our dedicted Learning & Development team prior to returning to the service to continue your growing career at Consensus.
