Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Wolverhampton - Hybrid 3 days in office
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000


We are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a growing organisation. As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation and storage of goods. You will be in charge of managing logistics operations, including coordination with vendors, carriers, and suppliers. You will need to have excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate shipments of goods, both inbound and outbound
  • Work with carriers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates on delivery schedules and resolve any issues or concerns
  • Manage warehouse operations and ensure that goods are stored and handled safely
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as delivery times and inventory levels
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards for shipping and handling hazardous materials

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a fast paced supply chain environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role using an ERP system
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and hazardous materials handling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
