Poultry Farm Manager - Broilers

Clive Soanes Broilers Ltd are proud to have produced award-winning poultry to our sister company Soanes Poultry for over 70 years.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious Farms Manager - Broilers to join our family owned business.

Ideally qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 however less experienced candidates that at stockmen and have the welfare of the birds as their priority are encouraged to apply as training will be provided to the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:

* be stock people who place animal welfare as the highest priority and take a pride in producing birds to the highest standards

* Deliver the highest of welfare and biosecurity standards

* be flexible and self motivated and able to work on own initiative

* work to a high health and safety standard.

*Update all records required in order to provide accurate, up-to-date information meeting Red Tractor and IPPC requirements

* look after the poultry daily need for feed, water, litter, ventilation and movement.

*Liaise directly with our Poultry Health Specialist and Poultry & Farms Supervisor regarding any issues with the health and welfare of the birds

*Carry out evening checks of site, when required.

* Be willing to learn new technologies

*Responsible for maintaining the health and welfare of the poultry on site.

*carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require.

* Accommodation is provided.

We are a friendly, supportive family-owned business. Training and support is available for the right candidate with an aptitude to working with broilers without experience. Full training can be provided.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience + bonus scheme + utilities paid.
