Come and join the crew here at Clip 'n Climb Cambridge – Your award-winning ‘climbing centre meets theme park’ right here in Cambridge – as we are on the lookout for a new member of the team to come on board as a member of our FRONT OF HOUSE & CAFÉ team for regular weekend shifts and school holidays.

This is a zero hour contract, with most of our team working regular Friday, Saturday or Sunday shifts of between 4 and 8 hours.

THIS JOB WILL START BY THE END OF JUNE 2023. THIS IS NOT JUST A SUMMER JOB - THIS IS FOR PEOPLE LOOKING FOR REGULAR HOURS AFTER THE SUMMER TOO.

Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge is one of two climbing centres run by Walthew Leisure. Our sister centre is Climb Quest MK. Walthew Leisure is run by Beth and Chris Walthew, and is an independent, family-run company.

We are all about CHALLENGE, EXCITEMENT, CONFIDENCE, ACHIEVEMENT (and, of course, SAFETY!). Our job is to help people feel proud of themselves and have fun at the same time - the people being our guests, our teammates and of course, ourselves.

The role of FOH and Café Assistant is to work alongside your Team to successfully run the reception, café and kitchen and ensure customers’ expectation of food and drink and customer service are met. This could include any aspect of the café operation from working on reception, answering enquiries, hosting birthday parties to food preparation work, cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities and ongoing efforts to maintain our high standards of health and safety and customer-care. Shifts are available on Saturday and Sundays and are usually between 4 and 6 hours long.

• Well-presented with a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
• An enthusiastic team player able to work with other colleagues in a dynamic business.
• Upbeat and positive - able to work as part of a team with a cheerful disposition and remaining calm under pressure.
• Able to demonstrate attention to detail and follow company procedures.
• Interested in sport and physical activities - it's what we do, and it’s great if you can help on the arena from time to time
• Happy to climb to a height of 10 metres!
