The Role:

This is your opportunity to be part of our Leakage team and join colleagues listening for leaks. Once you’re trained, you’ll have everything you need in your van to keep you safe as you work outside in all weathers to locate, log and report any leaks using mobile technology.

You’ll be deploying leak detection sensors with safety and productivity in mind.

Each day you get to:

• Drive to a predetermined area
• Use tablet based maps to locate & access water fittings and deploy/ collect acoustic logging devices
• Work safely & effeciently using all the PPE and tools issued
• Ensure data gathered is recorded accurately
• Members of the public will often take an interest in what we are doing so good communication skills will be key in helping them understand

We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following...

It’s essential that you have a full and valid driver’s licence. Ideally you know already that you enjoy working independently and taking on practical tasks. Some experience of working with customers and explaining your role with confidence will enable you to deal with enquiries from interested pedestrians.

Experience of working in a similar role or outdoor, safety critical environment will give you a good insight into what’s needed.
