Gardeners and Assistant Gardeners

Due to demand we are urgently seeking both skilled maintenance gardeners and groundspeople as well as assistant Gardeners to tend to high end domestic gardens, residential gated communities and generally high end grounds where presentation is key.

The ideal candidates will be hands on, capable, physically fit, reliable and able to lead and share knowledge (where applicable) as well be able to use skill and initiative to achieve the best possible results in a time efficient manner.

Duties, but not limited to:

• Weeding
• Bed cultivation
• Plant pruning maintenance and regen, and training of.
• Mowing with either pedestrian or ride on mowers as appropriate
• Lawn edging and strimming.
• Lawn treatments eg moss control, aeration, scarification
• Hedge cutting.
• Planting and mulching
• Project works
• Van and machine cleanliness
• HSE and Manual handling awareness
• Ability to work in rain or shine
• Flexibility and reliability
• Decorated Christmas tree installation
• Admin tasks

Ideally, you will be or have;

• A valid UK valid Driving license. A must have.
• Able to operate competently a full range of garden machinery though full training will be given.
• A good knowledge of gardening or enthusiasm to learn the trade.
• Supervisors to have diverse Horticultural ability for large, currently up to 10 acres, as well as more typical sized gardens and grounds.
• PA1 PA6 advantageous but not necessary, training will be offered to those suitable.
• The desire to learn plants, get on, be flexible and reliable.
• Physically fit for this demanding profession.
• Personable, capable and of a trustworthy reliable manner.
• Client interaction and team communication skills.
• HSE awareness but training will be offered.
• Ability to follow procedures as well as enthuse and direct others as applicable.
• Take pride in your work.
