Harrods Visual Merchandiser, London UK (1 year contract)

We are looking for a full-time Visual Merchandiser to join our Harrods Team on a one year fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for window display installations, in-store displays and product merchandising of all product categories in line with company directives and commercial needs

• Liaise regularly with key stake holders: Buying, department managers, marketing and CRM

• Participate in the organisation of special in-store events when necessary

• Participate in weekly walkthroughs, providing strategic decision making for the success of the business

• Regular use of D-Qlik to be able to present commercial knowledge and VM action plans

• Maintain a consistent knowledge of product and best sellers in order to maximise sales by promoting certain products – money mapping where necessary

• Manage the ordering, handling and organisation of all display materials, sharing data and picture with UK VM Manager monthly

• Share photographs after every rotation with UK VM Manager in ppt format

• Organise and conduct in-store training sessions on visual merchandising guidelines and visual merchandising standards to store staff including new starters

• Support VM activities in other locations when necessary including store rotations and events

• Carry out any additional duties as directed by the UK VM Manager

• Previous experience as a VM within a luxury fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of current trends in design
• A passion for Christian Dior and our collections
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexible approach
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be organised
• Proficient in Microsoft – PPT, Excel and Word
• The ability to work well as part of a team and alone
• Flexible for night shifts (window installations)
