ChampionX has an immediate need for a Senior Chemist with an Organic Chemistry Background located in Aberdeen. This is your opportunity to join a growing company offering a competitive base salary and benefits.

What You Will Do:

Adhere to all safety protocols for ChampionX
Develop new molecules for corrosion inhibition
Test molecules for corrosion inhibition
Learn corrosion inhibitor testing
Linear polarization resistance bubble cells
Rotating cylinder electrodes
Rotating coupon autoclaves
High pressure rotating cylinder electrodes for preferential weld testing
Manage project request for qualifying corrosion inhibitors
Write and present on findings either through presentations or technical reports
Work collaboratively with the wider team to advance developments

Minimum Qualifications:

Synthetic chemistry experience -OR-
MS in chemistry with +2 years in synthetic chemistry

Physical Demands:

Long periods of standing

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in organic chemistry
Experience developing a catalogue of new molecules
Experience designing molecules to meet a specific need
Testing experience with any of the above mentioned corrosion tests
