Nights Warehouse Operative

Castell Howell Foods is Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have vacancies for Nights Warehouse Operatives based at our Cross Hands depot.

Our Nights Warehouse Operatives are responsible for the accurate and timely picking and packing of customer orders using our voice picking system. Duties include:

• Picking of goods from despatch according to picking procedures and KPIs
• Administration of picking documents as appropriate
• Ensuring all routes are picked correctly and efficiently in line with the company load planner
• Ensuring products picked are of saleable quality in accordance with company policy, Health and Safety and quality
• Ensuring the correct labelling of all orders for despatch
• Compliance with Health & Safety and Hygiene legislation

No previous experience is required as full training will be provided but you should be:

• A team player who can also work independently
• Someone who shows attention to detail
• Consider yourself physically fit
• Have basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Be prepared to work in a cold store at -18 °C (full protective equipment is provided)

Working hours: 36 per week, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Shift times are 18:00 to 04:00.

Salary: A new increased starting salary of £23,587.20 (£12.60 per hour) plus a further pay award from 1st April. Plus a monthly bonus scheme.
