ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a great opportunity for an experienced support worker/carer to support a delightful 12-year-old with cerebal palsy. His parents are lovely people who have a beautiful home and treat their team of support workers like members of their family.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
For your breaks, you will have a comfortable room with a separate bathroom, a sofa, a TV with Netflix and Prime channels, a fridge, microwave and TV/coffee/biscuits.

SUPPORT WORKER DUTIES

  • Interactive play
  • Administering medication, water and feeds via gastrostomy (training will be provided)

ABOUT THE 12-YEAR-OLD BOY
H has cerebral palsy, complex needs, learning difficulties and is non-verbal, so he requires support with his communication and to meet all of his needs. He is a charming and engaging child who enjoys interacting with his carers, listening to music and songs, reading books, and getting involved in sensory activities.

H is also a wheelchair user so relies on others for his mobility and his personal care. He has a feeding tube in situ through which he receives his medication and approximately half his nutrition. The other half is given to him in the form of pureed food, which he enjoys.

Thursday: 3.30pm – 10.00pm
Friday: 3.30pm – 10.00pm

Overtime (over and above the hours stated) will be paid at the hourly rate (either £15 or £17 per hour and £30 per hour on bank holidays).
