Permanent job opportunity for a CAD Designer, Central belt, Scotland in Clydebank , Glasgow. The successful candidate must be based on site full time

Caledonian Campers are a local and friendly family business. For over 12 years, we have been providing professional built bespoke Campervans throughout Central Scotland and the UK. We have a reputation for manufacturing bespoke Campervans of an outstanding quality and are looking for a new CAD Designer who can help us to keep raising the bar to continually meet and exceed our customers expectations. We are the largest Campervan Conversion Builder's in Scotland and are looking to add to our team.

We are seeking a CAD designer with advanced Solidworks skills for growing design, production and sales within our family run Campervan Business.

An exciting opportunity to deal with the process of designing new campervan modular layout designs and bespoke furniture layouts

The CAD Designer will be required to:

– Complete detailed manufacturing drawings to individual design specification and
– Maintain and develop quality design and conform to production procedures
– Meet tight deadlines whilst adhering to quality system checks
– Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety standards, policies, and procedures.
– Ensure compliance with relevant engineering and manufacturing procedures.
– Liaison with Owner, Engineering and Production teams to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of each design

Key Skills of the CAD Designer:
– An all-round knowledge of Solidworks – Essential
– Detailed knowledge or practical experience assembly of cabinets including CNC & Edge banding experience
– Have a minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent – Desirable
– Experience of a manufacturing and assembly of modular cabinets – Essential

Salary: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
