Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the practice in Gateshead. No two days are the same, they have a variety of cases surgical and medical, nurse consultations, and much more. If successful you will be involved in all aspects of nursing care including clinics and in-patient care before, during and after surgery.
This is a full time position working 38 hours per week over 4 days. The shift patterns are 6.45am-4.45pm, 8.00am-6.30pm and 8.30am-6.30pm. Weekend work is 1 in 4 Saturdays or Sundays 6.45am-6.30pm.
They have digital radiography, dental radiography, flexible and rigid endoscopes, in-house lab including haematology, biochemistry, and EPOC machines, excellent ultrasound machine with doppler and a wide range of specialised equipment for performing most soft tissue, orthopaedic and endoscopy surgeries. They also have a dedicated and specialised OOH emergency and critical care team. Over their branches, they have a team of 15 Veterinary Surgeons, 22 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 13 Auxiliary Nurses and 11 Receptionists.
Registered Veterinary Nurse who is highly motivated, works well in a team, and thrives in the varied environment of a veterinary hospital. Candidates must be dedicated to progressing their knowledge and practical skills to ensure they fully support the Vets with a range of potentially complex and critical cases. An experience of nurse consults is also highly desirable.
Salary and benefits:
Salary up to £26,000 depending on experience
Relocation package of up to £3000
Welcome bonus of up to £1500
