Job Title: Sample Handling Technician

Location: Witham, Essex

Salary: £21,695 + shift allowance

Role Purpose

Working in a fast-paced commercial laboratory, the successful candidate(s) will control the movement, storage and disposal of samples and the transportation of goods between different sites using a company van.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday - Working a weekly rotation of 6:00-13:00 and 13:00-20:00. Overtime available during busy periods paid at a premium rate.

Main Duties

Responsible for maintaining the sample storage area.
The transport of samples and equipment between sites using a company vehicle.
To ensure safe working practices in line with HSE policy, Risk Assessment and COSHH procedures.
Process high value samples and the disposal of low-level samples.
To assist with the delivery of samples into the company.

Candidate Profile/Required Experience

Ability to manage time effectively.
Flexible and willing to analyse the role to make positive changes where you see fit.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be able to work independently and manage your own time.
Must have a valid UK driving licence.
Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial but not necessary.
Be comfortable working at height.
Fit and able to work on your feet all day.
Able to lift boxes up to 20kg
Full training will be provided.
