About us

We are a UK based, full fibre provider that is rolling out a new 1 gigabit per second broadband network to homes and businesses across the UK.

With an average broadband speed of 64mbps, the UK is ranked amongst the lowest in Europe for its poor internet connectivity and we are here to change this by delivering a betternet. We are a start-up team of innovative, agile and driven individuals, looking to scale-up and achieve our ambitious plan to connect a million homes in the UK to our gigabit network.

We have now rolled out fibre to over 150, 000 homes in the UK, making us one of the fastest growing Altnets in the UK.

About You

We are looking for a dynamic and results driven individual who has previous hands-on experience in one or more areas of fibre telecoms, including: Build, Networks, Installation and Maintenance.

This role will suit someone that is a self-starter who enjoys having autonomy, freedom to innovate and think outside the box to deliver growth and change within a start-up environment.

You will be required to travel daily to Bradford

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, you be responsible for driving and monitoring our maintenance processes within the field.

  • You will work closely with our Build team to identify potential issues to rectify to ensure installations can go ahead, as well as supporting QA and DQA engineers with service call activities.
  • You will be up to date with any pressing actions – which include: collections, outages and stock orders.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing our subcontractors on the ground and will motivate and challenge their behaviours to ensure we meet our targets.
  • You will be on hand to support with client service calls, which will involve customer interactions and rectifying issues with their service or installation.
  • You will have an understanding in reading and interpreting data, reports and test results.

At brsk, we are all about the customer and as there will be occasions where you will be customer facing or entering properties, therefore, you must be a good communicator, understanding and patient.

Once build has finished in a particular area, our Patch Lead will become custodian of the region, who will approve access to the network.

You will work closely with our Build teams during regional walk-throughs, reporting on quality before accepting ownership for the maintenance team.

The Key Skills and Experienced required for this role are:

  • Experienced in 1 or more areas of fibre telecoms.
  • Have worked previously in a DL/SUB dynamic.
  • Able to drive performance in pressurised situation.
  • Experienced in fast paced work environments with complex faults, delivering quick and effective decision making.
  • Strong affinity for dealing with matters at first point of contact, structured and focused on achieving targets.
  • Self-starter who can influence change positively.
  • Target driven and ability to drive high performance and that of their peers.
  • Ability to gain insights from data to understand trends and patterns.
  • Ability to deal with change in a fast-paced environment
  • You wll be an independent worker who enjoys autonomy
  • Team player and willing to get stuck in.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An eye for detail and maintains high standards in everything they do.
  • You will bring lots of energy, enthusiasm and determination to the role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Salary

32k plus car allowance (£4.5k)
