Position Overview & Specifications
Full Time – Receptionist
We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and well-motivated person to join our reception team at the Briar Court Hotel
The role; Full time receptionist, working 5 over 7 days including weekends and bank holidays. 40 hours per week
Early shift 6am – 2pm
Late shift 2pm – 10pm
Key responsibilities;
- Welcome guests and customers in a professional, friendly & prompt manner.
- Check guests in and out and provide relevant information about the hotel and facilities.
- Upsell products and upgrades to maximise revenue.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and written correspondence
- Take restaurant bookings and deal with customer requests.
- Provide a high level of customer service and operate in line with company policies.
- Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with all other departments but also happy to work alone.
- Additional duties will include serving on the bar, assisting with breakfast, preparing sandwiches and snacks from the bar menu, delivering room service orders and meeting guest requests where possible.
- There may be a requirement for night shift holiday & sickness cover
Person specification;
- Previous reception experience desired.
- Experience using a Property Management System, Online Travel Agents and restaurant booking systems would be beneficial
Candidates must:
- Have a good level of written and spoken English
- Be friendly, welcoming and approachable,
- Be smart & well presented in a professional manner
- Have the ability to remain calm during difficult situations, multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
- Good IT literacy including Microsoft office (outlook, word)
